Perth Glazier Pros is a referral service, not a glazier. Requests go to one local glazing business that services your area (how it works).

What should I do first if a window breaks?
Check nobody is hurt and keep children and pets out of the room. If anyone is injured, or a crime is still in progress, call 000. Then put on closed shoes and thick gloves before going near the glass.
Who should I call after a break-in in Perth?
Call 000 if the offender is still there or anyone is in danger. If the break-in has already happened, report it to WA Police on 131 444 or online. To give information anonymously, Crime Stoppers is 1800 333 000.
Should I take photos before cleaning up?
Yes. Moneysmart says to take photos and video of the damage before you move anything, and before minimal repairs such as boarding up a door. Photograph the whole window or door as well as close-ups of the break.
How do I make a broken window safe tonight?
Don't pull loose shards out of the frame. If it is safe to reach, cover the opening from the outside with board or heavy plastic and tape. Sweep wide, bag the glass carefully, and keep the room closed off.
Toughened glass breaks into small granular pieces that can scatter a long way, so check under furniture and along skirting boards. Laminated glass usually stays in the frame, held by its interlayer, and is best left for the glazier to remove.
What if a storm broke the glass?
If your home is badly damaged by a storm and you can't make it safe, DFES says to call the SES on 132 500. Requests are prioritised and may take hours or days. Call 000 in a life-threatening emergency.
You can also reach DFES on 13 DFES (13 3337) for general information. DFES says SES volunteers answered 1,056 calls between June and October 2024, mostly for roof and structural damage, fallen trees and water getting in.
Should I call my insurer before a glazier?
If you plan to claim, talk to your insurer before spending money on temporary repairs. That is Moneysmart's advice. DFES also says to check with your insurer before contracting repairers. Some insurers arrange emergency repairs themselves.
Ask about your excess, and whether you can choose your own repairer. More in our insurance claims guide.
How much does urgent or after-hours glass repair cost?
Glazewell, a Perth glazier, says after-hours response adds roughly $150–$350 to the standard pane cost, and Perth window panes run $280–$1,400 supplied and installed. hipages gives emergency call-out fees of $100–$600 nationally.
| Item | Indicative figure | Published by |
|---|---|---|
| After-hours response | roughly $150–$350 on top of the pane cost | Glazewell |
| Emergency call-out fee | $100–$600, plus a higher hourly rate | hipages |
| Minimum job fee (Perth metro) | around $250–$300 | Glazewell |
| Glass not in stock | board-up overnight, glass fitted within 24–72 hours | Glazewell |
| Upper-storey access | adds 20–40% to labour | Glazewell |
Will the glazier replace the glass on the first visit?
Sometimes. Glazewell says stock sizes can often be replaced the same visit, but larger panes, laminated glass and double-glazed units usually need ordering, so the opening is boarded up first and the glass fitted within 24–72 hours.
When you send a request, choose Tonight if the opening isn't secure. Our referral team calls you back and puts you in touch with a local glazier, who tells you whether and when they can attend.
