Can a cracked shower screen be repaired?
No. Shower screens are toughened glass, and toughened glass must be cut and drilled before it is toughened. It can't be trimmed or patched afterwards, and a crack means the panel can shatter, so it is replaced.
Is frameless or semi-frameless glass cheaper to replace?
Semi-frameless is generally cheaper. hipages says frameless screens need thicker glass to stand without a full frame, which costs more. Either way the glass is normally toughened safety glass, and AS 1288 has a section on bathroom and ensuite glazing.
