Perth Glazier Pros is a referral service, not a glazier. Requests go to one local glazing business that services your area (how it works).

General information only. This guide summarises the cited sources as at 20 October 2026. It is not glazing, insurance or legal advice. Which glass suits a location is the glazier's call, and your policy wording decides what insurance covers.

Short answer: Perth glass repair typically costs $280–$1,400 per pane supplied and installed, according to Glazewell's 2026 guide. We don't publish an "average Perth price" of our own, and none of these figures are our prices. Figures checked 20 Oct 2026.

How much does a glazier charge per hour?

We have no Perth-only hourly figure to cite. hipages gives a national range of $65–$105 an hour for a glazier in normal hours, plus the cost of the glass, and notes that many glaziers also charge a minimum fee.

How much does glass cost per square metre?

For the glass alone, hipages gives national averages of about $38–$46 per m² for clear float, about $230 for toughened, $265 for double-glazed, $288 for Low-E and $403 for laminated, before cutting, fitting and labour.

The per-m² column in the table above is the same hipages data. Fitting, cutting and the call-out are on top.

Why are the hipages and Glazewell figures so different?

They measure different things. hipages' per-m² figures are national averages for the glass alone, before labour. Glazewell's figures are Perth prices per pane, supplied and installed, so they include cutting, fitting, labour and the minimum job fee.

Read the two columns together: the hipages column tells you roughly what the glass itself costs; the Glazewell column is closer to what a Perth household pays for a fitted pane.

How much more does urgent or after-hours glass repair cost?

Glazewell says after-hours response adds roughly $150–$350 to the standard pane cost in Perth. hipages gives emergency call-out fees of $100–$600 nationally, plus a higher hourly rate. Non-stock glass may mean a board-up first and a second visit.

What else changes the price?

Size, glass type, window style and access. Glazewell says upper-storey windows add 20–40% to labour and scaffolding adds $400–$1,200. A damaged or rotted frame adds $200–$800. Most glaziers also have a minimum job fee.

Double-hung sashes, bay windows and bi-folds cost more per pane than a plain sliding window because of the hardware involved (Glazewell). Whether to replace the glass or the whole window is covered in repair or replace window glass.

Laminated or toughened: which costs more?

Laminated usually costs more. hipages lists laminated at about $403 per m² and toughened at about $230 per m² for the glass. Glazewell lists laminated panes at $450–$900 and toughened at $380–$650 installed in Perth.

Getting a firm price

Send the suburb, the window or door type, rough size, and photos (one close-up of the break, one of the whole window or door). Say whether it's upstairs. The glazing business we pass your request to quotes the actual job; ask whether the price includes after-hours fees, board-up, disposal of the broken glass and the glass type. If you are claiming on insurance, read broken window insurance claims first.
